Revive San Francisco Thrive Weekly

Psalms 32:7

7You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble;

You surround me with songs of deliverance.

The promised land is a very wonderful picture of our freedom that we are given in Christ. This bondage in Egypt was not our home and God sent a deliverer that would bring us out of Egypt into the promised land. We do not have to live in Egypt any more. This is the good news of the gospel that through the finished work of the cross you no longer have to live in bondage. His grace not only covers and empowers you to be free. What a wonderful gospel we have of freedom for mankind. Let us go with confidence in the City of San Francisco and see deliverance come to the bound.

Steven Leeming sent me this Declaration that we need to pray over SF. The SOUND of SALVATION (Isaiah 61) – A Declaration

We declare that: The Kingdom of Heaven is present at Revive Church. We are established by God to display his glory. We are empowered to rebuild a new city, better than the present.

As we partner with Jesus, we will: Speak your good news to all we meet, Heal the the sick and restore the heartbroken, Free captives, and pardon prisoners. Announce a perpetual beginning of the favour of God. Bring comfort and care to all who mourn, Give beautiful gifts in place of constant losses, Deliver messages of joy instead of news of doom, Display the gift of a praising heart instead of a broken spirit. Impart a double inheritance and joy that goes on forever.

Thank you Jesus that you are MIGHTY and able to SAVE everyone.

Getting the most from God's Word

As you embark on this Journey, here are four steps to invite God's Word to challenge and encourage you.

  1. Pray

    Pray with focus and openness to see what God has for you. God, connect with me here, as I seek You in your Word.

  2. Read

    Read the selected section of scripture slowly. Take note of intriguing words and phrases. Read them a second time.

  3. Reflect

    Reflect on what strikes you as you read. What does this passage of Scripture teach you about God's values?

  4. Respond

    Respond to the passage. Speak to God directly about what's on your mind and hear. Look for ways to live out what you've uncovered.
